The average export price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds stood at $2,212 per ton in September 2023, with an increase of 14% against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 43% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $3,656 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to September 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($4,705 per ton), while the average price for exports to Syrian Arab Republic ($1,901 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ghana (+0.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds stood at $2,527 per ton in September 2023, surging by 28% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in June 2023 when the average import price increased by 34% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $2,562 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to September 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Lebanon ($3,262 per ton), while the price for Costa Rica ($1,019 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Costa Rica (+0.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
