The average import price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds stood at $1,093 per ton in 2022, which is down by -3.7% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a perceptible curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 56%. The import price peaked at $1,491 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($1,616 per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($953 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kuwait (+22.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 18%. The export price peaked at $1,698 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Egypt ($8,147 per ton), while the average price for exports to China ($870 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Egypt (+11.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
