The average import price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds stood at $1,081 per ton in June 2023, declining by -20.9% against the previous month. In general, the import price saw a noticeable setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2022 an increase of 17% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $1,763 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to June 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Saudi Arabia ($2,574 per ton), while the price for Peru ($623 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Egypt (+1.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average export price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds amounted to $2,671 per ton, falling by -15.2% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, posted a remarkable increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 24%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $3,389 per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Germany ($2,956 per ton) and the UK ($2,787 per ton), while the average price for exports to Spain ($2,583 per ton) and the Netherlands ($2,640 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+7.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
