The average import price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds stood at $3,806 per ton in December 2023, which is down by -10.1% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2023 an increase of 14% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $4,234 per ton, and then contracted in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($9,082 per ton), while the price for Cote d'Ivoire ($1,122 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+1.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average export price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds amounted to $5,487 per ton, jumping by 18% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average export price increased by 40% against the previous year. The export price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($8,060 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($1,299 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Denmark (+19.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

As a result, imports attained the peak of 31K tons, and then dropped modestly in the following year.
In value terms, imports of dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds shrank to $100M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 14% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $117M, and then shrank in the following year.
