The average export price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds stood at $487 per ton in 2022, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a deep slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 an increase of 703% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $12,128 per ton. From 2016 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($602 per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($389 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Chile (+5.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds stood at $1,106 per ton in September 2023, shrinking by -17.5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated modest growth from September 2022 to September 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2023 figures, import price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds decreased by -31.3% against July 2023 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in June 2023 an increase of 21% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $1,610 per ton in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to September 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($6,411 per ton), while the price for the Dominican Republic ($663 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Peru (+3.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
