In November 2023, the average import price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds amounted to $2,514 per ton, picking up by 11% against the previous month. Over the period from November 2022 to November 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.5%. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Peru ($4,732 per ton), while the price for Ecuador ($973 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Iran (+2.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average export price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds amounted to $2,425 per ton, surging by 37% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2,495 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($3,262 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bulgaria ($1,071 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Montenegro (+5.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
