The average import price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds stood at $5,059 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 8.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price enjoyed a strong increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the average import price increased by 112%. The import price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($8,801 per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($2,124 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+16.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds stood at $1,334 per ton in March 2023, picking up by 8.5% against the previous month. In general, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 161% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $4,305 per ton in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to March 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Trinidad and Tobago ($1,588 per ton), while the average price for exports to Panama ($508 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2022 to March 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+28.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
