In September 2023, the average export price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds amounted to $1,203 per ton, standing approximately at the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 an increase of 5% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,231 per ton; afterwards, it flattened through to September 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Canada ($1,894 per ton), while the average price for exports to Iran ($1,127 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Canada (+0.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average import price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds amounted to $2,828 per ton, declining by -7.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a slight curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when the average import price increased by 71%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $3,491 per ton. From 2017 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Cambodia ($2,922 per ton), while the price for Thailand ($1,226 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Iran (+13.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, exports of dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds from the Philippines rose to 335K tons, surging by 3.7% compared with 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a deep contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 8.6% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 478K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports of remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, exports of dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds stood at $379M in 2022. In general, exports, however, showed a slight decline.
