In November 2023, the average import price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds amounted to $2,287 per ton, with an increase of 14% against the previous month. Over the period from November 2022 to November 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.5%. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Peru ($5,047 per ton), while the price for Costa Rica ($697 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Peru (+4.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds stood at $2,558 per ton in 2022, falling by -9.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a pronounced expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the average export price increased by 111%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $2,823 per ton, and then dropped in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($3,579 per ton), while the average price for exports to Spain ($486 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+9.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
