Price for Dithionites and Sulphoxylates; of Sodium in China (FOB) - 2023
The average export price for dithionites and sulphoxylates; of sodia stood at $793 per ton in September 2023, with a decrease of -3.3% against the previous month. Overall, the export price saw a noticeable descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 3.9% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $1,137 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to September 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Japan ($1,173 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bangladesh ($713 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkey (-1.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
