Price for Duck and Goose Meat in Portugal (FOB) - 2023
In August 2023, the average duck and goose meat export price amounted to $3,086 per ton, picking up by 2.6% against the previous month. In general, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2023 an increase of 105% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $3,491 per ton. From June 2023 to August 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($4,494 per ton), while the average price for exports to Italy ($968 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (-0.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In August 2023, the average duck and goose meat import price amounted to $7,263 per ton, growing by 19% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated a tangible increase from August 2022 to August 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.8% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Exports of Duck and Goose Meat in Portugal
