In December 2023, the average import price for electric motors and generators amounted to $31.2 per unit, surging by 13% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a noticeable downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 31% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $42.9 per unit in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to December 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Hungary ($116 per unit), while the price for Serbia ($9.9 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Korea (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in years to come.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($111 per unit), while the average price for exports to France ($14 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
