In 2022, the average import price for electric motors and generators amounted to $29 per unit, picking up by 9.2% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a perceptible decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 18%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $48 per unit. From 2014 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($241 per unit), while the price for Russia ($17 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+7.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

The average export price for electric motors and generators stood at $71 per unit in 2022, declining by -40.8% against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a abrupt curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 an increase of 39% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $471 per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($175 per unit), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($36 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+9.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
