The average import price for electric motors and generators stood at $9.1 per unit in 2022, with an increase of 11% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a abrupt setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when the average import price increased by 39% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $21 per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($107 per unit), while the price for China ($5.5 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+21.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
