The average import price for electric motors stood at $18.9 per unit in November 2023, increasing by 3.4% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2023 when the average import price increased by 58% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $24.5 per unit. From August 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($51.1 per unit), while the price for Thailand ($4.2 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+5.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
