Price for Electronic Integrated Circuits; Memories in Turkey (CIF) - 2023
The average electronic integrated circuits; memories import price stood at $2.8 per unit in July 2023, with an increase of 14% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, showed a slight shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2023 when the average import price increased by 378% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $5.2 per unit in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was China ($4.4 per unit), while the price for Thailand ($548 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+9.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average electronic integrated circuits; memories export price amounted to $5.7 per unit, which is down by -11% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average export price increased by 70% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $6.9 per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($16 per unit), while the average price for exports to Egypt ($1.4 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to India (+15.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the amount of electronic integrated circuits imported into Turkey reduced sharply to 23M units, waning by -23.8% compared with the year before. Overall, imports recorded a abrupt decrease. The smallest decline of -0.8% was in 2020. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at 36M units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, electronic integrated circuits; memories imports surged to $69M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 69% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
