Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when the average import price increased by 30%. The import price peaked at $8,577 per ton in 2021, and then contracted dramatically in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($12,900 per ton), while the price for South Korea ($2,374 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
