In 2022, the average export price for ethers; acyclic, and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives, diethyl ethers amounted to $9,413 per ton, jumping by 530% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $10,742 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Uzbekistan ($11,080 per ton) and Georgia ($10,156 per ton), while the average price for exports to Kazakhstan ($8,236 per ton) and Armenia ($8,733 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Armenia (+7.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The average import price for ethers; acyclic, and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives, diethyl ethers stood at $27,273 per ton in 2022, waning by -13% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average import price increased by 646% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $31,336 per ton, and then shrank in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($42,235 per ton), while the price for Spain totaled $17,137 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+17.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of ethers; acyclic, and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives, diethyl ethers, when their volume decreased by -83.9% to 3.4 tons. In general, exports continue to indicate a sharp contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 39%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 21 tons, and then contracted significantly in the following year.
In value terms, exports of ethers; acyclic, and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives, diethyl ethers reached $32K in 2022. Overall, exports recorded a dramatic shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 16% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $92K. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports of remained at a lower figure.
