In November 2023, the average export price for ethylene polymers; waste, parings and scraps amounted to $283 per ton, with a decrease of -7.5% against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a slight setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in September 2023 an increase of 33% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $354 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to November 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Italy ($566 per ton), while the average price for exports to Portugal ($143 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+6.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
