The average import price for fats and oils and their fractions; of fish, (excluding liver-oils)s stood at $2,944 per ton in September 2023, which is down by -39.1% against the previous month. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 64% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $5,524 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to September 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from the Netherlands ($3,657 per ton) and Poland ($3,222 per ton), while the price for Norway ($2,522 per ton) and Sweden ($2,704 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
