The average ferro-alloys; ferro-tungsten and ferro-silico-tungsten import price stood at $28,362 per ton in 2022, leveling off at the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 an increase of 70% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $28,538 per ton in 2021, and then fell slightly in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($67,466 per ton), while the price for China ($23,279 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+25.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Ferro-Alloys; Ferro-Tungsten and Ferro-Silico-Tungsten in the Philippines
In 2022, ferro-alloys; ferro-tungsten and ferro-silico-tungsten imports into the Philippines dropped dramatically to 863 kg, reducing by -47.3% against 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 1,806%.
