Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.0%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 an increase of 40% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $694 per ton in March 2022; however, from April 2022 to December 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2022, the highest price was recorded for prices from the Philippines ($628 per ton) and Japan ($604 per ton), while the price for Taiwan (Chinese) ($561 per ton) and Thailand ($569 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From December 2021 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Japan (+0.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
