The average export price for fertilizers; mineral or chemical, nitrogenoi stood at $822 per ton in May 2023, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a strong increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in August 2022 an increase of 118% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $845 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to May 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In May 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Turkey ($987 per ton) and Kyrgyzstan ($855 per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkmenistan ($792 per ton) and Oman ($792 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From May 2022 to May 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+103.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
