In 2022, the average export price for fish; edible offal, fish heads, tails and mawses amounted to $37,753 per ton, shrinking by -3.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed buoyant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 75%. The export price peaked at $44,224 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Hong Kong SAR.
