In 2022, the average export price for fish; edible offal, other than shark fins, fish heads, tails and mawses amounted to $3,055 per ton, growing by 12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a mild curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 15% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $3,347 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Hong Kong SAR ($3,090 per ton) and Marshall Islands ($3,074 per ton), while the average price for exports to Panama ($2,176 per ton) and Liberia ($3,069 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2018 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Liberia (+32.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the amount of fish; edible offal, other than shark fins, fish heads, tails and mawses exported from Brazil shrank markedly to 949 kg, waning by -95.6% compared with the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 21 tons, and then fell sharply in the following year.
