In 2022, the average export price for fish; edible offal, other than shark fins, fish heads, tails and mawses amounted to $3,765 per ton, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw a pronounced contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the average export price increased by 32%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $5,323 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Hong Kong SAR ($3,888 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United States stood at $2,124 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Vietnam (+14.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

After three years of growth, overseas shipments of fish; edible offal, other than shark fins, fish heads, tails and mawses decreased by -4% to 9.7 tons in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, enjoyed significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 900% against the previous year.
In value terms, exports of fish; edible offal, other than shark fins, fish heads, tails and mawses reduced modestly to $36K in 2022. In general, exports, however, showed a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 1,179%.
