In June 2023, the average import price for flour and meal; of potatoeses amounted to $1,598 per ton, rising by 66% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated noticeable growth from June 2022 to June 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.9% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+28.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average export price for flour and meal; of potatoeses amounted to $1,003 per ton, growing by 21% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a noticeable slump. The export price peaked at $2,898 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
