In October 2023, the average import price for fluorides; fluorosilicates, fluoroaluminates and other complex fluorine saltses amounted to $1,845 per ton, with an increase of 5.3% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 9.8% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $2,138 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to October 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Italy ($1,988 per ton), while the price for Tunisia stood at $1,729 per ton.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Tunisia (-0.3%).
