The average import price for fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodines stood at $949 per ton in 2022, falling by -12.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a noticeable contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average import price increased by 22% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $1,671 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Egypt ($946 per ton), while the price for China ($722 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (-3.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

The average export price for fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodines stood at $780 per ton in 2022, growing by 20% against the previous year. Overall, the export price posted a pronounced expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when the average export price increased by 44%. The export price peaked at $1,148 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Niger.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Niger amounted to -0.9% per year.

In 2022, imports of fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodines into Ghana fell remarkably to 274 tons, reducing by -53.3% compared with 2021 figures. In general, imports recorded a sharp reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 96%.
