The average import price for fresh or chilled bone-in cuts (excluding carcasses and half-carcasses) of bovine meat stood at $23,472 per ton in November 2023, approximately equating the previous month. In general, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2023 an increase of 12% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $25,524 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to November 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($23,954 per ton), while the price for Mexico ($13,302 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Mexico (-0.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
