In July 2023, the average export price for fresh or chilled carcasses and half-carcasses of bovine meat amounted to $4,051 per ton, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in August 2022 when the average export price increased by 48% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $6,400 per ton. From September 2022 to July 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In July 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Kuwait ($5,211 per ton) and Saudi Arabia ($4,215 per ton), while the average price for exports to Oman ($3,589 per ton) and the United Arab Emirates ($3,764 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bahrain (+0.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

For the fourth consecutive year, Pakistan recorded growth in shipments abroad of fresh or chilled carcasses and half-carcasses of bovine meat, which increased by 23% to 68K tons in 2022. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +12.9% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, exports of fresh or chilled carcasses and half-carcasses of bovine meat skyrocketed to $308M in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated a resilient increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +18.8% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +67.6% against 2019 indices. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
