In May 2024, the average import price for fresh or chilled chicory, other than witloof chicory amounted to $2,407 per ton, jumping by 47% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated a tangible expansion from May 2023 to May 2024: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.3% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on May 2024 figures, import price for fresh or chilled chicory, other than witloof chicory increased by +46.7% against April 2024 indices.
