In November 2023, the average export price for frozen bone-in cuts (excluding carcasses and half-carcasses) of bovine meat amounted to $4,317 per ton, approximately reflecting the previous month. Overall, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in December 2022 an increase of 15% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $5,195 per ton. From January 2023 to November 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Belgium ($7,168 per ton), while the average price for exports to Cote d'Ivoire ($856 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Sierra Leone (+16.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Overall, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 an increase of 217% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $6,492 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to October 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($6,152 per ton), while the price for Germany stood at $1,663 per ton.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+4.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
