In December 2023, the average export price for frozen raspberries, blackberries, mulberries, loganberries, black-, white- or red currants and gooseberrieses amounted to $2,926 per ton, rising by 4.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a perceptible shrinkage. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $4,866 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to December 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($3,711 per ton), while the average price for exports to Italy ($2,147 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (-2.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The average import price for frozen raspberries, blackberries, mulberries, loganberries, black-, white- or red currants and gooseberrieses stood at $1,601 per ton in December 2023, with an increase of 24% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a perceptible curtailment. The import price peaked at $2,777 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to December 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Denmark ($7,677 per ton), while the price for Poland ($1,026 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Denmark (+45.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Exports of Frozen Raspberries, Blackberries, Mulberries, Loganberries, Black-, White- or Red Currants and Gooseberries in Serbia
In 2022, the amount of frozen raspberries, blackberries, mulberries, loganberries, black-, white- or red currants and gooseberrieses exported from Serbia reduced remarkably to 90K tons, which is down by -32.2% against 2021. Over the period under review, exports faced a deep downturn. The smallest decline of -1.7% was in 2020.
In value terms, exports of frozen raspberries, blackberries, mulberries, loganberries, black-, white- or red currants and gooseberrieses reduced to $449M in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated resilient growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +18.2% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +65.2% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 54% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $528M, and then declined in the following year.
