In December 2023, the average import price for frozen raspberries, blackberries, mulberries, loganberries, black-, white- or red currants and gooseberrieses amounted to $3,038 per ton, falling by -7.5% against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a noticeable decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in October 2023 an increase of 6.6% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $3,998 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to December 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Chile ($4,615 per ton), while the price for Egypt ($957 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $6,059 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to December 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Mexico ($7,176 per ton), while the average price for exports to South Korea ($2,394 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Australia (+4.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 17% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports of hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
