In July 2023, the average fruit, edible; apples, dried import price amounted to $3,482 per ton, declining by -1.7% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.7%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2023 an increase of 20% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $4,343 per ton. From March 2023 to July 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Austria ($16,523 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($1,204 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Moldova (+5.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure in July 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($18,238 per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($2,270 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+14.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
