In 2022, the average fruit, edible; apples, dried import price amounted to $770 per ton, reducing by -25.1% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a pronounced reduction. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on July 2023 figures, fruit, edible; apples, dried export price increased by +63.2% against April 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 an increase of 38% month-to-month. The export price peaked in July 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Italy ($5,786 per ton), while the average price for exports to Portugal ($1,215 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+11.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
