In November 2023, the average import price for furniture; wooden, other than for office, kitchen or bedroom use amounted to $74.8 per unit, dropping by -1.9% against the previous month. In general, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2023 when the average import price increased by 16% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $83.0 per unit in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to November 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($109 per unit), while the price for China ($52.8 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Portugal (+2.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price peaked at $202 per unit in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to November 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the United States ($1,081 per unit), while the average price for exports to Democratic Republic of the Congo ($20.9 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Cabo Verde (+12.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
