The average export price for furniture; wooden, other than for office, kitchen or bedroom use stood at $15 per unit in 2022, growing by 2.8% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a pronounced slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 27% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $26 per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($19 per unit), while the average price for exports to China ($3.4 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (-3.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The average import price for furniture; wooden, other than for office, kitchen or bedroom use stood at $27 per unit in 2022, with an increase of 1.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a deep slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the average import price increased by 37%. The import price peaked at $75 per unit in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($107 per unit), while the price for China ($20 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Myanmar (+6.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, exports of furniture; wooden, other than for office, kitchen or bedroom use reduced to $200M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +6.4% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 25% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $227M in 2021, and then fell in the following year.
