In 2022, the average import price for furniture; wooden, other than for office, kitchen or bedroom use amounted to $91 per unit, with an increase of 7.2% against the previous year. Overall, import price indicated a perceptible increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, import price for furniture; wooden, other than for office, kitchen or bedroom use decreased by -22.5% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average import price increased by 50% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $117 per unit in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($389 per unit), while the price for South Africa ($34 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Malaysia (+16.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $100 per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Democratic Republic of the Congo ($145 per unit), while the average price for exports to Burundi ($24 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Democratic Republic of the Congo (+21.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
