Price for Glass Fibre and Article in Germany (CIF) - 2022
The average glass fibre and article import price stood at $2,432 per ton in 2022, increasing by 4.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 9.8%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $2,507 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($6,329 per ton), while the price for Egypt ($1,092 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (+8.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average glass fibre and article export price stood at $4,729 per ton in 2022, increasing by 2.7% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the average export price increased by 5.5%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $4,974 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($7,531 per ton), while the average price for exports to Denmark ($1,903 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+5.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Glass Fibre and Article in Germany
In 2022, glass fibre and article imports into Germany dropped to 536K tons, with a decrease of -7% against the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 20% against the previous year.
