Price for Glass Fibres and Wool in France (CIF) - 2023
In August 2023, the average glass fibres and wool import price amounted to $3,771 per ton, growing by 14% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2023 an increase of 15% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum in August 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Austria ($26,264 per ton), while the price for Spain ($1,913 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Austria (+16.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Price for Glass Fibres and Wool in France (FOB) - 2022
The average glass fibres and wool export price stood at $6,918 per ton in 2022, rising by 28% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The export price peaked at $7,261 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($14,284 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($2,541 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Tunisia (+9.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
