In 2022, the average import price for granules and powders, of pig iron, spiegeleisen, iron or steels amounted to $1,256 per ton, jumping by 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a perceptible shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $1,826 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Slovenia (+16.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
