In August 2023, the average grapes; fresh or dried import price amounted to $2,343 per ton, dropping by -1.6% against the previous month. Over the period from August 2022 to August 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.4%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 21% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $2,636 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to August 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Spain ($2,574 per ton), while the price for Egypt ($1,173 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Greece (+1.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period from August 2022 to August 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.7%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 an increase of 45% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $3,292 per ton. From December 2022 to August 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Hungary ($3,428 per ton), while the average price for exports to Denmark ($2,137 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+5.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Grapes; Fresh or Dried in the Netherlands
In 2022, overseas purchases of grapes; fresh or drieds decreased by -12.2% to 436K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend.
