In March 2024, the average import price for graphite; natural, in other forms, excluding powder or flakeses amounted to $1,070 per ton, increasing by 8.8% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a pronounced descent. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $1,361 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to March 2024, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2024, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($1,438 per ton), while the price for Germany stood at $989 per ton.
From March 2023 to March 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Sweden (+4.0%).

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($1,900 per ton), while the average price for exports to Iran ($894 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Azerbaijan (+37.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
