In July 2023, the average import price for graphite; natural, in powder or in flakeses amounted to $2,291 per ton, approximately equating the previous month. Overall, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 20% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $2,554 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to July 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($3,736 per ton), while the price for Mozambique ($1,002 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($37,042 per ton), while the average price for exports to Thailand ($3,195 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Indonesia (+33.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
