The average import price for graphite; natural, in powder or in flakeses stood at $995 per ton in 2022, leveling off at the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a mild contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average import price increased by 134% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $3,013 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($3,974 per ton), while the price for Madagascar ($567 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($1,094 per ton), while the average price for exports to Thailand ($265 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
