The average import price for halides and halide oxides of non-metals; excluding chlorides stood at $7,921 per ton in 2022, picking up by 22% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the average import price increased by 36% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $20,033 per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Germany.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for South Korea amounted to +8.5% per year.
