The average export price for harrows; (excluding disc), scarifiers, cultivators, weeders and hoeses stood at $349 per unit in December 2023, picking up by 17% against the previous month. In general, the export price posted a pronounced increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 when the average export price increased by 281% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $2,597 per unit in October 2023; however, from November 2023 to December 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for the United States.

From December 2022 to December 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for the United States amounted to +4.7% per month.

Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw tangible growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2023 an increase of 87% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $1,681 per unit in November 2023, and then declined remarkably in the following month.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Italy ($4,106 per unit), while the price for China ($543 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
