In 2022, the average export price for harrows; (excluding disc), scarifiers, cultivators, weeders and hoeses amounted to $4,192 per unit, increasing by 21% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 39%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $4,383 per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bulgaria ($31,311 per unit), while the average price for exports to Denmark ($1,094 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bulgaria (+21.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Overall, the import price, however, showed a mild setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average import price increased by 22%. The import price peaked at $426 per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($810 per unit), while the price for Belgium ($147 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a mild increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 6.2%. The exports peaked at 20K units in 2021, and then fell slightly in the following year.
In value terms, exports of harrows; (excluding disc), scarifiers, cultivators, weeders and hoeses surged to $83M in 2022. In general, total exports indicated buoyant growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +9.7% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +63.1% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 39%. Over the period under review, the exports of hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
